For many students, science becomes truly exciting when they can see it, touch it, and experiment with it.

This belief recently came to life in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, where seven government schools have been equipped with dedicated STEM learning materials through a collaborative initiative between The Hans Foundation, a Delhi-based non-governmental organization (NGO), and STEM SUNQ.

The initiative was launched with a shared vision of making quality, activity-based STEM education more accessible to students studying in government schools.

By creating engaging learning environments, the project aims to encourage curiosity, creativity, and practical understanding from an early age.

As part of the initiative, STEM SUNQ supplied and supported the setup of STEM laboratory materials across the following schools:

  • Government Middle School (GMS), Alimudinpur, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Middle School (GMS), Tajnagar, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Siwari, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Karola, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Khandelwala, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Middle School (GMS), Tripadi, Farrukhnagar
  • Government Middle School (GMS), Dabodha, Farrukhnagar

Each school received carefully selected STEM learning resources designed to make classroom lessons more interactive and engaging.

The laboratories include educational models, science equipment, mathematics learning materials, and hands-on activity kits that allow students to explore concepts through observation, experimentation, and collaborative learning.

Walking into these newly equipped learning spaces, students are greeted with an environment that encourages questions instead of memorization.

Rather than simply reading about scientific principles, they now have opportunities to conduct experiments, investigate ideas, and understand concepts through practical activities.

The excitement of discovering how things work is transforming everyday classroom experiences into meaningful learning journeys.

Teachers have also welcomed the initiative, noting how activity-based learning helps students participate more actively in lessons.

Practical demonstrations often make complex topics easier to understand, while collaborative activities encourage teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.

These experiences not only strengthen academic learning but also help students build confidence as they solve problems and present their ideas.

The project reflects the growing importance of experiential learning in today’s education system.

Across India, schools are increasingly recognizing that hands-on learning can inspire deeper understanding and spark greater interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Initiatives like this ensure that students have access to learning opportunities that prepare them for a rapidly evolving world.

For STEM SUNQ, the collaboration represents another step toward its mission of supporting schools and educational organizations with innovative STEM learning solutions.

From planning and supplying educational resources to helping schools establish well-equipped STEM learning spaces, the organization continues to work with institutions, NGOs, and CSR partners to make practical education more accessible.

The Hans Foundation’s support has played a significant role in bringing this vision to life. By investing in educational infrastructure for government schools, the foundation is helping create opportunities that can positively influence thousands of young learners for years to come.

As students gather around science models, work together on classroom activities, and confidently explore new ideas, these STEM labs become more than just learning spaces – they become places where curiosity grows, creativity flourishes, and future innovators begin their journey.
